- This 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, owned and driven by Andrew L. Kennedy, 62, of Mexico, sustained $7,000 damage after it was struck at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday on Hancock Street (Route 2) by a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Dawn Pike-Turbide, 21, of Rumford, Rumford Patrolman Lawrence Winson said. Pike-Turbide, who had her year-old daughter in a child seat on the back seat and was stopped on Maine Avenue, told Winson she didn’t see Kennedy’s red truck traveling north on Hancock when she turned left onto Hancock. Both drivers complained of shoulder pain; the child wasn’t injured. Damage to the Taurus was $5,000. Kennedy, a Community Concepts driver, said he had just paid off the truck and put new shock absorbers and tires on it.
