LEWISTON — A number of donors, including the Del Gendron family, have pledged enough donations to prompt YWCA officials to cancel immediate plans to close the facility.
The announcement was made at a press conference at the YWCA this afternoon.

- George Gendron, left, his mother Priscilla and father Dolard, all of Lewiston, gave $50,000 to help the YWCA keep it’s doors open on Monday. Priscilla Gendron has agreed to donate an additional $50,000 once another $100,000 is raised.
