I don’t usually get my news from the “Daily Show,” but in this case it seems to me that it picked up something that the newspapers have missed.
Fox News, in its coverage of the Manhattan mosque, implied that the man promoting the mosque is linked to terrorism by a Saudi man who has been supporting him. Fox News neglected to mention that the same Saudi — Prince Alwaleed bin Talal — is part owner of Fox News’ parent company.
Shouldn’t somebody tell the viewers of Fox (who are unlikely to watch the “Daily Show”) that they are being misled?
And if that isn’t the role of the newspapers, whose could it be?
