Coach: Dave Sterling (first year)

Last year’s record: 1-7

Returning players: Seniors — Teven Colon (TB/FS), Cory Spruill (FB/NG), Avery Jackson (T/DT), Ben Bellevue (G/DE), Cody Meserve (C/DT), Alex Smith (G/LB), Zach Earle (T/DE), Spencer Emerson (Slot/LB), Zach Leblond (TE/SS), Ken Treadwell (SE/CB); Junior — Josh Delong (QB), Luc Farrago (FB/LB).

Key losses: Branson Vye (TB/LB), Wade Colon (G/DT).

Promising newcomers: N/A.

Outlook: It’s been a turbulent 12 months for the Red Eddies, with three head coaches presiding during that time. The hope is Sterling, a former EL assistant returning via a head-coaching stint at Scarborough, and a senior-laden roster can instill stability and get back to the PTC playoffs. Colon, who played QB last year, is a shifty play-maker capable of breaking long runs. The Eddies will try to spread opponents out and use a physical offensive line to open running lanes for him.

Coach’s comment: “One of the blessings we have in our program is a very big senior class of about 20 guys.” — Coach Dave Sterling
