The death of a Windham man is being called “suspicious” by police.

Maine State Police and Windham police are investigating the death of David Harmon, 41, who was found Tuesday night at the base of an 8-foot ledge.

Detectives have been conducting a number of interviews and also searching the property, off Route 302, when Harmon’s body was found.

His wife reported him missing Tuesday, prompting a search of the area, agency spokesman Steve McCausland said in a statement Thursday.

An autopsy was completed on Harmon’s body Wednesday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, but no cause of death has been released, McCausland wrote.
