The Maineiacs’ eighth captain will lead by committee — quite literally. Cameron Critchlow, acquired last season from the Titan, will wear the captain’s ‘C’ this season, and five others will sport an ‘A’ in some capacity.
Sam Finn will be an assistant captain in all games this season, and Critchlow has even gone so far as to call him a “co-captain.”
Sam Henley and Pierre-Olivier Morin will wear the ‘A’ during road games, while Antoine Houde-Caron and Michael Chaput will sport the letter during home games.
“We felt this is a good group of players, and we have a lot of leaders, even some who are not wearing letters,” head coach J.F. Houle said.
The team went to the Lewiston City Council meeting Tuesday night to officially unveil the team’s roster and to formally announce its captains.
