CARTHAGE — Results have been announced from activities held during Carthage Splash Fun Day on Aug. 21.
The parade theme was “Comic Book Characters, Nursery Rhymes and Bedtime Stories” and winners were:
First place, the Webb River Valley ATV Club with a Peanuts-themed float; second place, the Skidgell family as the Three Little Pigs; third place, Opy Jr., Kelly, Dalton and Dallas as Goldie Locks and the Three Bears.
Other floats in the parade were: Hansel and Gretel, with Amanda Chase, Dona Wiggins and Lilly Virgin; Big Redneck, with Howard Jones, Paige and Lindsay Nowlin and Jade Cubic.
Boat race winners were: first place, Michela Gould; second place, Sam Berry; third place, Amanda Chase.
The horseshoe tournament winner was Howard Jones; cribbage tournament winner, Sam Susui; fry pan toss winner, Todd Lincoln.
