AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Lawrence Quealy was concelebrated Saturday by the Rev. Harold Moreshead and the Rev. Antonio Amato at Sacred Heart Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. The first reading was proclaimed by Lawrence’s son James Quealy and the second reading was proclaimed by Lawrences’s son-in-law, Dr. Jay Hagerty. The prayer of the faithful was recited by Lawrence’s nephew, Michael Killion, the offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Lawrence’s grandson, Caven Hagerty as well as Lawrences sister, Sister Ernestine Quealy, CSJ accompanying them also were grandchildren, Devin and Molly Hagerty, who each carried two roses to the altar in remembrance of their grandfather. Words of remembrance were shared by Lawrence’s sister, Sister Ernestine Quealy, CSJ. After a procession to Highland Cemetery in Poland, Father Moreshead recited graveside committal prayers. After prayers, our country’s flag was folded and presented to Lawrence’s wife in recognition of her husband’s service to his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. At the conclusion of services, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Our Lady of Ransom Church Hall in Mechanic Falls. Pallbearers were Robert Rose, Jean Jalbert, Sister Rosalie, Richard LeFleur, Archie McNeil and Mark Quealy. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel and Tribute Center.
