FARMIGNTON — Sophomore midfielder Ryan Flanagan scored the eventual game-winning goal to lift Mt. Blue to a 3-0 victory over Waterville in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.

The Cougars (3-2-1) put two goal on the board in the first half, the second tally coming from Colton Hall. Blake Hart rounded out the scoring with a penalty kick in the second half for Mt. Blue.

Goalie Max Brown made 12 saves for the Panthers, while Matt Crowley earned the win in net with eight saves for Mt. Blue.

Edward Little 5, Cony 0

AUGUSTA — Tim Mains poured in three goals and assisted on a fourth to spark Edward Little to a 5-0 triumph over Cony in an KVAC boys’ soccer game Tuesday.

The Red Eddies (3-3) controlled the action right from the outset, opening a 4-0 advantage before halftime.

Nate Blais and Ian Therriault also scored for EL. Zack Tannenbaum added a pair of assists to complement Mains’ outburst.

Ben Bowles and Jeremy Hamm shared goalkeeper duties for EL, combining for two saves. Blake Doucette stopped 10 shots for Cony (0-5-1).

Buckfield 3, GPC 2

BUCKFIELD — Austin Dooley lined himself up with a pass from Alan Hedrick and headed it into the net with 15 minutes left in regulation to lift Buckfield to a 3-2 victory over Greater Portland Christian in EWC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.

Dooley scored his first goal in the first half for Buckfield (3-3), while Hedrick also tallied to complete the scoring. Kasey Robertson made 11 saves to notch the win.

Anthony Simpson and Adam Simpson each scored a goal for GPC (2-3), while Stan Carlson turned aside 18 shots between the posts.

Monmouth 3, Georges Valley 2

MONMOUTH — The Monmouth boys’ soccer squad jumped out to a 2-0 lead early and held off a late rally by Georges Valley to record a 3-2 victory Tuesday.

Nick Trenholm and Kyle Fletcher each scored first-half goals for the Mustangs (3-3), while Russell Neal increased the lead to 3-0 in the second half.

Drew Townsend and Alex Wallace both scored a goal and added an assist for the struggling Buccaneers (1-5). Robby Neal made 13 saves for Monmouth, while Tyler Gilson turned aside 11 shots in net for Georges Valley.

Erskine 1, Oxford Hills 0

SOUTH CHINA — Brian Potter’s unassisted goal with nine minutes remaining lifted Erskine to a 1-0 KVAC boys’ soccer victory Tuesday over pesky Oxford Hills.

Potter planted the rebound after an Erskine free kick eluded the leap of Oxford Hills goalkeeper Matt McVety and caromed off the crossbar.

McVety made seven saves for the Vikings (1-5). Zack Busmanis stopped 11 shots for the Eagles (3-2-1).

Jay 1, Mt. Abram 1

SALEM — Junior midfielder Ian Gingras locked up the game early in the first half for Jay as the Tigers played to a 1-1 double overtime tie with Mt. Abram in MVC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.

Parker Kennedy put the Roadrunners (3-1-2) on the board first. converting a pass from Jay Chenard at the 27:18 mark of the first half.

Goalie Isaac Couture made 19 saves to keep the Tigers (0-5-1) from losing their sixth game of the season, while Josh Beedy prevented 10 for Mt. Abram.

Winslow 2, Leavitt 0

TURNER — Rodrigo Delcid and Gabe Smith each netted first-half goals for Winslow as it overpowered Leavitt 2-0 in a KVAC boys’ soccer tilt.

Mackenzie Michaud was rock solid in goal for the Black Raiders (6-1), making four saves to record the shutout.

Sam Godfrey handled netkeeping chores for the Hornets (2-5), turning back 11 shots in the contest.
