A $3.5-million plan to redevelop a vacant mill overlooking Lewiston Falls into office space was unveiled by a Portland developer before the Lewiston City Council Tuesday night.
The City Council approved an inducement resolution authorizing Bradley C. McCurtain to seek industrial revenue bonds from the Finance Authority of Maine to finance redevelopment of the Cowan Mill, also known as the Sableman Mill.
“There’s no question there’s a risk,” said McCurtain. “But that risk gives you the chance to rise to the occasion.” The project, once completed, will be called Androscoggin Falls Plaza.
