Auburn
Vehicle driven by Bret Michael Martel, 27, of Auburn, went out of control, went airborne, struck a no parking sign and damaged a resident’s lawn on Vickery Road at 9:10 p.m. Oct. 5. Damage to Martel’s 1995 Volvo station wagon estimated at $5,000; and to the sign owned by the City of Auburn, $50. No damage estimate was listed for the lawn.
A vehicle driven by Matthew Richard Robert Blair, 19, of Turner, caught fire in the engine compartment at 11:10 a.m. Monday in a parking lot on Turner Road. Damage to the 1996 Saab driven by Blair and owned by Angela R. Blair of Turner estimated at $2,500.
Vehicles driven by Nicole June Cort, 26, of Casco, and John E. Benoit, 71, of Brunswick, collided at 1:25 p.m. Monday on Center Street. Damage to Cort’s 2004 Chevrolet estimated at $2,500; and to Benoit’s 2003 Dodge pickup, $2,500.
