- During a recent open house at the Dixfield Fire Co. station, Capt. Jason Hyde teaches 8-year-old Cody Moretto of Dixfield how to use a fire extinguisher. Hyde said about 60 people attended the four-hour event Oct. 9 to learn about fire prevention and fire extinguisher training. “It was not as big a success as the first year, but it was a great time,” Hyde said. Moretto’s dad is Dixfield fire’s Deputy Chief Chris Moretto.
