Mexico’s abundance of fruits, vegetables and cacao plants was recently a topic for Paris Public Library’s Geography Kids. In the white cups on the table are fried plantains, provided by Katie, Amy, Lucas and Joanne Edwards. Lynn Thorpe is pictured serving a cacao cake depicting the geography of Mexico and its surrounding countries. The cake was made and decorated by Tristyn Thorpe. Samplers, from left, are Tristyn Thorpe, Kyle Grigg, Lynn Thorpe, Luke Mosher, Josiah Mosher and Silas Gordon. Geography Kids meets at 10:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
