Abram Verrill, 14, of Poland, second from right, his father, Wayne Verrill, left, and his grandmother, Kathy Skillings, background, return cats to Brady Pelletier, 8, right, of Livermore, and other owners, after the animals were spayed or neutered at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston on Monday. Abram, who is working toward his Eagle Scout with Troop 125, gave $458 from donations and selling hot dogs at Poland Spring Heritage Days last summer so that all of the cats at the spay/neuter clinic could be vaccinated against rabies. The Humane Society each month holds a low-cost spay and neuter clinic for low-income families.
