The poem “To Our Classmate Buck,” written by the Rev. Lester S. Dow Jr. on behalf of LFHS Class of 1954 was read by Franklin “Chip” Barclay II, and Buck’s daughter-in-law Claire Barclay read the 23rd Psalm. Bagpiper Ian Barclay stood near the grave of the Rev. and Mrs. Ozro L. Roys, his great-great-great-grandparents, and played “Skye Boat Song” and “Scots Wa Hae” as people walked to the burial site. Scripture, the 23rd Psalm, words of committal, and the benediction were given by Pastor Hall, “taps” was played and the flag was presented to the family by members of the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta.
