RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Madeline M. Brown was celebrated Tuesday at St. Athanasius–St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Phil Tracy as celebrant. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier and organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections were “How Great Thou Art,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “Amazing Grace” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” Readings were given by Sue Brown and the eulogy was given by Sue Brown, who also read letters from Lynn Marie Landry and Steve Gallant. Presenting the gifts were Ed Lavorgna and Lynn Marie Landry. A delegation attended from St. Timothy Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Tracy. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed at the parish hall of the church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
