A three car accident on Route 4 in Turned left two injured Monday evening. The accident happened at the intersection with Lower St. at about 5:50 p.m.
Driver probably failed to stop at stop sign on Lower St, blindsided a second vehicle. The Turner and Auburn fire departments responded to the scene, where the Blue Mitsubishi’s driver-side door had to be cut off in order to remove the injured passenger. The process took about five minutes, said Brock Conant of the Turner Fire Department. The passengers’ injuries did not appear life threatening, Conant said. Police directed traffic around the accident via Upper and Lower Streets for approximately 45 minutes.
- A car drove off the road after striking another vehicle on Route 4 in Turner on Monday evening. Turner Fire Department staff had to cut the vehicle’s front left door off to reach the injured driver.
