The cities of Auburn and Lewiston have each enacted parking bans for the duration of today’s storm, and into the morning to allow public works crews to plow streets.

In Auburn, the parking ban was implemented at 9 a.m. Wednesday and will last until 7 a.m. Thursday.

In Lewiston, the ban was also implemented today at 9 a.m. and will last until 9 a.m. Thursday. Cars may be parked at no charge in any of the city garages from 6 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.

The cities ask drivers to cooperate with the ban to allow for street clean-up. Anyone parking in violation of the bans will be towed at their expense.
