Ashley Whittemore, daughter of John Whittemore of Hollis, N.H., and Katherine Taylor of Readfield, was named a resident assistant for the Office of Student Life at Saint Michael’s College for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Whittemore is a junior, sociology major at the liberal arts residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vt. She graduated from Maranacook Community School.

Resident assistants are selected from the undergraduate student population on the basis of faculty and staff recommendations.
