- The 2011 Cub Scout Pack 599 fishing derby was held on Wilson Lake in Wilton on Jan. 30. Unfortunately, the fish decided not to attend the festivities, with only one flag at 12:10 p.m., which turned out to be a leaf. Attending were Jordan Buzzell, Sam Norris, Dylan Guay, Bryce Kendall, Orion Schwab, Tristan Klemanski, Devon Klemanski, Andrew McHugh, Scott Jackson, Quin Fournier, Acacia Fournier, Garrett Benedix, Isaac Pinard, Hunter Quimby and Mackenzie Quimby. In the photo Scouts gather around as a parent shows the boys how to use an ice fishing trap.
