RANGELEY — The Rangeley Comprehensive Plan Committee has scheduled a townwide public opinion session from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Rangeley Lakes Regional School.
“The purpose of the session is to get a wide variety of opinions and viewpoints about what is special about Rangeley, what needs to be retained and what needs to change and improved in the years ahead, Planning Committee Chairman Rob Welch said in news release. “Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. The more citizens participate, the better the comprehensive plan will be.”
The session will be facilitated by John Maloney from Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments and Arek Galle from Gates, Leighton & Associates. It will consist of a series of exercises and discussions about the future of Rangeley, including its villages.
This is the first step in updating the 1997 comprehensive plan for the town. “Rangeley needs to look at its future,” Welch said. “Come talk with your neighbors and help us shape the future of our town.”
