MEXICO — Nomination papers for two seats on the Board of Selectmen and for the position of town clerk/treasurer are available at the town office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Friday.
The terms of Selectmen Barbara Laramee and Peter Merrill end in June.
Laramee, who has served as chairman of the board for many years, has decided not to seek a fourth, three-year term. Merrill has said he will run for a second term on the board.
Town Clerk/Treasurer Penny Duguay will also run for another three-year term. She has served in the positions since 1996, as well as several years in the late 1980s.
Those who wish to run for one of the positions must gather the signatures of at least 25 registered Mexico voters, then turn in the papers to the town office by 4 p.m. April 29.
Elections will take place June 14, the same date residents will vote on the annual warrant articles at the polls.
The town office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
