HEBRON — The Hebron Academy girls’ varsity hockey team played their annual “Pink in the Rink” hockey games last month to show their support of the fight against breast cancer.
The Lady Lumberjacks wore pink socks, ribbons and jerseys. The center ice circle was painted pink, and fans sported pink ribbons and their own pink attire.
The team held a bake sale during the games, with goods donated by parents and teachers, and sponsored a raffle featuring a pink pie plate, pink ribbon fleece blanket and pink ribbon fleece gloves.
Proceeds were donated to the Maine Breast Cancer Foundation.
