DEAR SUN SPOTS: You’ve helped my family before. Here are two more questions:

The Lifetime Channel (Channel 30 on our TimeWarner Cable) doesn’t carry movies anymore. Reba is on 17 times a day and other shows like that. They used to have nice movies to watch.

Is Darrell Waltrip (NASCAR sportscaster) still married to his wife “Stevie”? He has a young daughter, too. He never mentions them.

Thanks a lot. — S.O., Peru

ANSWER: Sun Spots went to www.mylifetime.com and discovered that Lifetime now has three channels — the original Lifetime, LMN (the Lifetime Movie Network) and Lifetime Real Women. According to the online TimeWarner Cable listing, you can find LMN at Channel 169. You can also watch many of the Lifetime movies online.

As for Darrell, at wiki.answers.com it says that Darrell, 64, is still married to Stevie. According to the same site, it says he has two daughters, Jessica, 23, and Sarah, 18. It also said Darrell’s brother Michael (also a race car driver) was splitting with wife Buffy.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I was wondering if you would find out for me about two Disney movies, “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.” I head they were in the Disney vault. If so, I was wondering when they will be released again, as I want to purchase them for my granddaughter. Thank you. — M.J.S.S., Dryden

ANSWER: Both of those movies are currently unavailable from Disney. Sun Spots could not find any indication of when they might be re-released.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: When I was young, sometime in the 1940s, there was a carnival called “The World of Mirth” on East Avenue at the corner of Sabattus Street, across from what is now Elizabeth Ann General Store. If anyone has a picture of the entrance sign and would share it with me, I would pay for the reproduction. I hope someone can help me recapture my youth. — Buzzy, Lewiston, 577-1706

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m hoping you might know a way to stop getting unsolicited mailing labels from organizations asking for money. Lately I’ve been inundated with these things — it would take me years to use them all! I feel just tossing them in the trash is one more way to invite identity theft so into the shredder they go. I’m on a Direct Mail do-not-send list, but charities seem to be immune. Help! — No Name, Lewiston

ANSWER: Most solicitations from charities come with a postage-paid envelope. Sun Spots uses that envelope to return the labels with a note requesting she be taken off their mailing list. Most charities have complied.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I saw the March 15 inquiry in Sun Spots about restoring an old photo. Christine Olmstead does amazing photographic restoration work. I highly recommend the reader look into her business, Before and After Photo Restoration in Brunswick. — C.R.L., Livermore Falls

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The friends of the Family Readiness Group for Unit 262 is having a food and bottle drive. The food closet to help the unit’s soldiers and their families in times of need is stocked through donations only and currently is very low on food.

We are looking for nonperishable food to help refill it. All of the money from the bottles and cans will be used to replenish the food in the closet. We will gladly pick up the bottles, cans and food.

Please call either Jill at 333-7048 or Wendy at 281-2624 for more information or to schedule a pickup. Thanks in advance for your help. — Wendy, wendyinmaine@yahoo.com
