POLAND — Eli Murphy, a senior at Poland Regional High School, has been selected to receive the 2011 Principal’s Award, Principal Cari Medd has announced.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Medd said, “Eli has been an enthusiastic and curious student, a leader in speech and debate and theater, a musician and a dedicated athlete. He has participated in such a wide variety of activities here that it is hard to imagine any area of the school untouched by Eli’s generous nature and spirit. Eli very much deserves this recognition.”
Murphy and Medd will attend an honors luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 2.
