JAY — Police are investigating a theft of a tool pouch with about $1,200 worth of tools in it on Sunday from a yard on the south side of Jay Hill on Route 4, Jay police Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier said.

A man had left a pouch with tools outside between 5 and 6 p.m., Fournier said, and when he came out to look for it, the pouch and tools were gone.

It is a brown mesh utility pouch with a strap on it, he said.

If anyone has information regarding the case, they are asked to call Jay Police Department at 897-6766.
