CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — An autopsy is planned on the body of a Maine woman found in a pond at a New Hampshire ski area.
Divers on Wednesday retrieved the body of 20-year-old Krista Dittmeyer, of Portland.
It was about a quarter mile from where her car was found idling early Saturday in the parking lot of Cranmore Mountain ski area. Her 14-month-old daughter was found asleep inside the vehicle, unharmed.
Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young says the case is being investigated as a “suspicious death.” She says an autopsy is planned for Thursday in Concord.
Meanwhile, residents in Bridgton, Maine, are going ahead with a planned candlelight gathering planned for Thursday evening at an elementary school as a show of support for the family.
