LEWISTON — Three people were examined for possible injuries Thursday after three cars collided on Sabattus Street.
Police said cars driven by Shawn Crehan of New York, Fatuma Odowa of Lewiston and Michell Morin of Lewiston collided just before 4:30 p.m. on Sabattus Street, near North Temple.
Police shut down a lane of traffic as emergency crews responded to the scene, causing traffic to back up in both directions.
The cause of the crash was still being investigated late Thursday night. Police said none of the injuries were life-threatening.
- A person from one of the three vehicles involved in an accident at North Temple and Sabattus streets Thursday afternoon is taken to an ambulance. The accidents closed both lanes of eastbound traffic while United Ambulance and Lewiston Fire Department personnel helped the victims.
