NORWAY — Frost Farm Gallery will hold a “First Friday” reception, meet-and- greet the artist from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 4 at the gallery located in the historic David W. Frost farm, 272 Pikes Hill in Norway. The exhibit, entitled “Journey’s End,” will feature artwork by Lenora Leibowitz of Portland.

Leibowitz is a well-known portrait artist and teacher. She graduated from Maine College of Art and since then has worked as and artist in various media. She  has participated in numerous group shows and has had one-woman exhibits around the state. Her recent work reflects her love of the Maine landscape and her fascination with old buildings.

Leibowitz’s  work has appeared in the following shows and venues: Portland Public Library, The Dogfish Cafe, The Black Frame Show, Thomas College, Clown Gallery, Railroad Square Cinema, Center for the Arts at the Chocolate Church, Thomas College, and the MECA Alumni Show.

Frost Farm Gallery is also pleased to showcase the musical talents of the Oxford Hills High School String Ensemble. Under the direction of Cynthia Wescott, the group will perform a variety of selections from contemporary to classical.

The event is free and open to the public. Live music will be provided by the Oxford Hills High School string ensemble.

The exhibit and sale will continue at Frost Farm Gallery through Saturday, June 25. The June First Friday art opening at Frost Farm Gallery is in conjunction with the Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center, The Maine Bookhouse, McLaughlin Garden and Painted Mermaid Gallery.
