- Jay High School Envirothon Team members, from left, Isaac Couture, Lexi Deering, Sam Hutchinson, Beth Moore, Kristy Macomber, Jacob Roy and adviser Rob Taylor will represent Maine at the international Canon Envirothon at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, July 24-29. The team took first place overall in the 2011 Maine Envirothon on Thursday at the University of Maine in Augusta. The team earned 84 points in forestry, 97 points in aquatics and 43 points in the current issue category. Senior Beth Moore also earned a paid summer internship with the Natural Resource Conservation Service of Maine, Taylor said.
