- Drivers headed west on Route 2 must detour around or through Bethel because of ongoing work to replace 6-inch concrete deck slabs in the Route 2 overpass over Railroad Street in Bethel. The highway section was closed in mid-April and is expected to reopen to one-way traffic by the Fourth of July and by July 16 to two-way traffic.
