RANGELEY — The fledgling Rangeley Alumni Association will meet Saturday, June 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the home of Alice Smith, Class of 1956, at 2632 Main St.
The gathering will include a social time, potluck picnic lunch and annual meeting beginning at 1 p.m. The meeting to talk about future plans, is scheduled to coincide with the Rangeley Lakes Regional School graduation at 3 p.m. that day.
The Rangeley High School/Rangeley Lakes Regional School Alumni Association was started last summer through the work of RHS alumni John Philbrick and Craig Sargent. In September, an Executive Committee was established with Joey Morton, ’74, as president, Pam Ellis, ’77, as vice president, Ann Ladd, ’60, as executive secretary, Leeanna Wilbur, ’78, as treasurer, and Monika Taylor, ’76, Paul Ellis, ’46, and Alice Smith as members at large.
It was voted that the purposes of the association are to support the students, faculty and administration of Rangeley Lakes Regional School, and to promote communication among alumni.
Membership in the association is open to any person who has attended Rangeley High School/Rangeley Lakes Regional School and their friends and spouses.
