OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met May 27. A 5 & 1/2 table quarterly club championship Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Jim Krainin (Naples) and Milt McKeem (Bridgton) who also were first in flight B and C.
Second in flight A were Lou Theriault (Lewiston) and Mike Quinn (Otisfield), third were Georgette Jewell (Norway) and Pat Quinn (Otisfield). Finishing second in flight B were Priscilla Rooth (Brunswick) and Hazel Glazier (Norway), third were Nick Karamessinis (New Gloucester) and Jim Dickens (Naples). Finishing second in flight C were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris), third were Hank Sakrison (Poland) and Denny Raymond (Waterford).

Yard sale
NORWAY — The Norway Recreation Department will hold a yard sale, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 4, at the Norway Fire Station. Items for sale will be recreational, such as bicycles, roller blades, racquet ball and squash racquets and more. This is the same time and place as the Responsible Pet Care plant sale and flea market table with garden-related items.

Worship service
PARIS — Silver Moore-Leamon will lead the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, June 5, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. Her sermon topic will be “What Have You Got in Your House?” Forest Perkins will direct the music, Renee Wales will lead the Sunday School. The Coffee Hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is invited.
Nature club
OXFORD — The Twin Town Nature Club will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, in the Walmart parking lot (south side near Route 126) and carpool to Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary in Lewiston. Visitors are welcome. Bring a picnic lunch.

Cruise night
OXFORD — Uptown Cruizahs will hold Cruise Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Tractor Supply Co., Route 26. This is an every Monday event weather permitting. Food, fun and music. Classic and antique autos and street rods will be on display. For more information, contact Les Wing at 890-0870.
Socrates Cafe
WATERFORD — A Socrates Cafe gathering will be held at the Waterford Library from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m . Monday, June 6. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month. The group offers a forum to discuss current topics and ideas in a warm, friendly atmosphere, where divergent views will be welcome.
The topic for the June meeting is “Is Bigger Always Better?” Bob Dow will be the moderator.

OTISFIELD — The Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 7, at Spurrs Corner Church, Route 121. Seniors meet
WEST PARIS — The June meeting of the West Paris Senior Citizens will be held on Tuesday, June 7, at the home of Patricia and Fred Breame on Route 26 North. There will be a delicious potluck at noon followed by the business meeting and program.
