MONMOUTH — The Theater at Monmouth will host a lively swing dance party at Cumston Hall on Saturday, June 18, at Cumston Hall.
The 7:30 p.m. swing dance party will be led by instructor Jessica Earnest and cast members of TAM’s production of “Much Ado About Nothing,” the first of two Shakespearean offerings this summer.
“Much Ado” is the timeless comedy that introduced two of the Bard’s most enjoyable and stubborn lovers, Beatrice and Benedict. Directed by Jeri Pitcher, this production will have a post WWII setting featuring a jazz soundtrack.
Tickets to the swing party are $5 and may be purchased by calling 933-9999, visiting www.theateratmonmouth.org or at the door.
The first summer performance at TAM, a professional repertory company, will be “The Compleat Wrks of William Shakespeare, abridged” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25. In this fast-paced show, three actors run through all of the Bard’s works with plenty of improv and audience participation.
