Small pox vaccine will be available for preschool youngsters at a 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. clinic scheduled today by the Lewiston Health Department. The shots will be given in the municipal courtroom. Health Officer Cecile Levasseur said all children entering school next September should have the vaccine.

25 years ago, 1986

A group of Turner men on Saturday finished building the bean-hole-bean pit which is to provide one of the meals during the town’s bicentennial celebration on July 4-7. Those volunteers who donated time, labor and materials to the project were Gordon Millett, Larry Hathaway, Wink Gilbert, Chip Gilbert, Rick Gilbert, Russ Marston, Brent Barker, Tim Gilbert, Ken Additon and Ken Gilbert. Kenny Butcher did the excavation work.
