RANGELEY — Regional School Unit 78 voters approved a $3.37 million budget in a validation referendum  Tuesday. The unofficial tally was 217-147, Superintendent Brian Foster said Wednesday.

Rangeley Plantation voters rejected the budget and two other plantations narrowly approved it.

The unofficial voting results were Dallas Plantation, 29-10; Rangeley, 161-110; Sandy River Plantation, 11- 9; Rangeley Plantation, 8-12; and Magalloway Plantation, 8-6, Foster said.
