FARMINGTON — The Maine Parent Federation and the Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold a workshop, “Great Minds Don’t Think Alike!”from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at Franklin County Children’s Task Force, 113 Church St.

Explore the world of learning styles and multiple intelligences. Through inquiry and interaction, participants learn about their personal learning preferences and discover ways to put their styles to work for them.

SeniorsPlus

STRATTON — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging, will be at the Multipurpose Room next to the Stratton Town Office from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 23. The Area Agency on Aging provides a free service to older adults and adults with disabilities. They answer questions about housing, legal issues, getting in-home services, Medicare, eligibility for services, caregiving and more. Meet the staff and find out more about the agency’s services.

Jumble sale

STARKS — A jumble sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Memorial Hall on Locke Hill Road. $1 per bag. Benefits the Starks Progressive Club and the United in Christ Presbyterian Church.

Lakes conference

WATERVILLE — The 41st annual Maine Lakes Conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Colby College’s Diamond Building. The $35 fee includes presentations, panel discussion on regulatory changes, hands-on bug and plant workshops, exhibits, door prizes and food. Raffle tickets are available for seven prizes (need not be present to win). The conference will be hosted by Maine Congress of Lake Associations. Wine tasting

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Downtown Association will hold a wine tasting event from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at The Company Restaurant, Front Street. The cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple.

Learn about pairing wine with meals and support the FDA. Appetizers, raffles and a parting gift will be part of the afternoon event. Proceeds will benefit the Farmington Summer Fest.
