- Rollie Heckethorn begins to drop over 200 golf balls onto the 18th fairway at Martindale Country Club in Auburn on Monday night during Central Maine Medical Center’s first Golf Ball Drop to benefit the Arbor House. The event was sponsored by the CMMC Associates Volunteer Program, with member Gerry Douglas also volunteering to fly his helicopter for the event. The winner of the closest ball to the pin was Great Falls Credit Union President Nancy Bard, who won the $1,000 cash prize.
