Duplicate bridge
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on June 14 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: 1st, Michael Quinn and Luke Merry; 2nd, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; 3rd, Patricia Quinn and Rosemarie Goodwin; 4th, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; 5th, Jackie Deschene and Marie Jeanne Lesperance.
Winners in Flight B and C were: 1st, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; 2nd, Jackie Deschene and Marie Jeane Lesperance.
The club also met on June 15 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: 1st, David Lock and Jeanine Kivus; 2nd, Claire Lyons and Rosemarie Goodwin.

Benefit concert
AUBURN — A benefit concert for Diana Martin, who needs a double lung transplant, will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Park Street Methodist Church. There will be music by Indie recording artist Mary Murphy appearing with Indigo Soul. Opening the show will be singer/songwriter D.J. Dunnels. Admission is a suggested donation of $7 per person at the door. There will be raffles and a 50/50 drawing.

Roast, shortcake
DURHAM — A pork roast and strawberry shortcake dinner to benefit LACO’s Food Pantry Lisbon Area Christian Outreach will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Durham Friends Meetinghouse, 532 Quaker Meetinghouse Road.
Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Adults, $10/$12; seniors and teens, $8/$10; family of five, $25/$30; children, $5.
Menu includes roast pork, vegetarian baked beans, cornbread, a variety of salads and strawberry shortcake.
The LACO Food Pantry serves hundreds of people every month. Donations of food and money are vital for the success of the food pantry.

Country competitions
LITCHFIELD — The Down East Country Music Association will be holding their 2011 competitions on Sunday, June 26, beginning at 10 a.m., at the Litchfield Sportsman Club, Hollowell Road.
This is open to singers, musicians, bands, vocal groups and duos in country, gospel, bluegrass and folk categories in youth and adult age groups.

Summer food
AUBURN — Auburn will offer a summer feeding program from June 27 through Aug. 12. Breakfast and lunch will be served weekdays at Park Avenue School, Sherwood Heights and Pettengill Park.
All meals must be eaten on site. Free meals are provided to all preschool children to 18 years of age. Those interested in participating in the program must sign up through the Auburn School Lunch Program. Contact Paula Rouillard at 333-6658.

Seniors trips
LEWISTON — Meadowview Senior Complex is organizing two summer day trips. All adults are invited to take these trips.
On Saturday, July 9, the group will take a bus ride to Foster’s Clam Bake for a lobster or chicken meal, visit the new Reny’s department store in Portland, Lenny’s Chocolate Shop with its full-size moose made out of chocolate, and visit a lighthouse. The cost is $61.
On Monday Aug. 15, a bus trip to Boothbay Harbor will include a stop at Big Al’s in Wiscasset, shopping, a boat tour of the harbor and a meal at Cabbage Island consisting of two lobsters (or chicken). The cost is $90.
