Public supper

WILTON — There will be a public supper at the Wilton United Methodist Church on Main Street from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9. The menu will consist of baked beans, chop suey, hot dogs, cole slaw, homemade bread, pickles, beverages and fresh strawberry shortcake. $8 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Proceeds to benefit the mission and ministry of the church.

Lake meeting

INDUSTRY — The Clearwater Lake Improvement Association will hold its annual meeting and celebrate its 100th anniversary on Sunday, July 10, at the Industry Town Hall. The meeting will start at 12:30 p.m. with a potluck dinner. All members and interested persons are urged to attend. Bring your favorite food dish to share with others. Soda, coffee and water will be available.

‘Pandamania’

FARMINGTON — Farmington Baptist Church would like to invite the public to join them for their 2011 ‘Pandamania’ Vacation Bible School. It will be held at the church, 194 Whittier Road, the week of July 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children from preschool through sixth-grade will enjoy a week filled with learning, games, arts and crafts, music and more. TURNER — MSAD No. 52 Adult & Community Education has announced its summer academic class offerings. Classes begin July 11 and end Aug. 12.

Courses include chemistry with lab, history, algebra I, English, geometry, algebra 2 and biology. Instructors are available to provide individual mentoring.

Line dancing

WELD — Line dancing classes sponsored by the Weld Recreation Association will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays, July 11-Aug. 29, at the Weld Town Hall, 17 School St. (Route 156). The instructor will be Louis Moniz Jr. (“Mad Louie”). Cost: $50 for the eight-week session or $10 per session for walk-ins.

Choir performance

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Baptist Church will host The Maranatha Tour Choir, of Fredericksburg, Va., at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the church, 194 Whittier Road. The concert is free and open to all.
