- Workers from Pratt & Sons, of Minot, brace the corner of a house being torn down Tuesday on Route 4 in downtown Jay. Maine Department of Transportation had two buildings taken down to make way for a parking lot that is expected to be turned over to the town of Jay. It is part of the Route 4 reconstruction project in Jay and Livermore Falls.
- Another building bites the dust on Tuesday in Jay as part of a Route 4 road reconstruction project. The empty space between Franchetti’s Home Town Variety and Smiley’s Laundry will be made into a parking lot.
- Debris from two demolished buildings on Route 4 in downtown Jay is picked up by an Almighty Waste excavator on Tuesday. The removal of the buildings is part of a road reconstruction project. The space will made into a parking lot for the public’s use between Franchetti’s Home Town Variety and Smiley’s Laundry.
