- Workers from Pratt & Sons, of Minot, brace the corner of a house being torn down Tuesday on Route 4 in downtown Jay. Maine Department of Transportation had two buildings taken down to make way for a parking lot that is expected to be turned over to the town of Jay. It is part of the Route 4 reconstruction project in Jay and Livermore Falls.

The space will made into a parking lot for the public’s use between Franchetti’s Home Town Variety and Smiley’s Laundry.
