RUMFORD — Funeral services with Military Honors for the Rev. Robert H. Plummer, of Dixfield and formerly of Rumford for many years, were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 22, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Timothy H. Parsons officiating.

Music selections were “Ave Maria” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo.” Special music led by Judy Kuhn on the keyboard was “Here I Am Lord” and sung by the Church Bells of the Rumford United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Timothy H. Parsons also played the guitar and lead everyone singing “The Lord’s Prayer.”

The reading was given by the Rev. Merrill Bittner. Words of remembrance were given by the Rev. John Gensel, Fr. Lionel Chuinard, sons Mark and David Plummer and the Rev. Ernest Farrar.

A reception followed at the Dixfield Congregational Church.

Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at the Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield, Mass., with the Rev. Ernest Farrar officiating.

Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
