JAY — The Daughters of Isabella Circle #677 from St. Rose of Lima in Jay held their monthly social on June 22.
Bob Chassie, district deputy, and Tom Welch, grand knight from The Knights of Columbus, presented the Daughters with two awards of appreciation for the help with the yard sale the Knights of Columbus held in June, and an award of appreciation for the help the Daughters gave at the Knight’s free public suppers. The Knights also gave a certificate for 24 free breakfasts at the parish hall that the Knights off Columbus hold the last Sunday of each month.
Denise Rodzen, vice-regent for the Daughters, spoke about the summer outing. Everyone at the June social voted to have Evelyn Chabot do the summer outing. This will take place at the parish hall Wednesday, Aug. 10, with a social hour from 5 to 6 p.m. and meal at 6.
Everyone is asked to bring a can good for the basket that will be raffled off at the fall bazaar. Everyone is also asked to bring an item that is used in the kitchen for the theme basket. Maryette Castonguay or Shirley Couture may be contacted for more information.
This will be the last monthly social until Septemeber when the Daughters will resume their montly business meetings and socials.
