WILTON — Teachers Lounge Mafia will present an evening of mature-audience improv comedy on Friday, Aug. 5, at Calzolaio Pasta Co.

Playing off suggestions from the audience, Teachers Lounge Mafia delivers improv combining short-form games made popular on shows like “Whose Line Is It, Anyway?’ and long-form storytelling behind films like “Spinal Tap.”

Everything is made up in the moment, so no two shows are alike.

Several members of Teachers Lounge Mafia, which performs statewide, recently completed a weeklong study at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. On Aug. 12, the troupe will perform at the 2011 Portland Improv Festival to be held at the Lucid Stage on Baxter Boulevard in Portland.

The Aug. 5 show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5; seating is limited. The bar will be open and food menus available. For tickets, email teachersloungemafiaimprov@gmail.com or call Calzolaio Pasta at 645-9500.
