AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — The Maine hospital in the Augusta neighborhood of Togus run by the federal Department of Veterans Affairs on behalf of the state’s veterans has a new name.

The hospital will be known as VA Maine Healthcare System, or VA Maine HCS.

The hospital’s website says the change was made “to better align with other facilities in the VA New England Healthcare System.”

The Kennebec Journal says the change includes the medical center’s outreach clinics.
