RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Horace “Honk” Worcester was celebrated Monday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections during the Mass were “How Great Thou Art,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Precious Lord Take My Hand” and “Fly Like A Bird.” The Old Testament was presented by his cousin, Elaine Cormier. The New Testament was read by his granddaughter, Savannah Worcester. Offertory gifts were presented by his son, Horace Worcester Jr. and daughter-in-law, Noo Worcester. Personal reflections were shared by his son. Bob Worcester. Pallbearers were Horace E. Worcester Jr., Nery J. Worcester, Bob Worcester and Peter J. Worcester. Interment was at Farrington-Morton Cemetery in Mexico. Military honors were rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard of Portsmouth, N.H. A reception followed at 49 Franklin. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
