WILTON — On Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m., Wilton residents may take part in a discussion about municipal conservation commissions and their role in assisting towns to develop open space plans. Open Space Plans are primarily an inventory and community dialogue about the specific natural resources important to the town.

The program will be held at the Wilton Town Office meeting room and facilitated by conservation resources advisor, Marcel Polak.

Polak is a land conservation consultant who has lived in Woodstock for more than 30 years. Currently he is working for the Maine Association of Conservation Commissions as a conservation resources adviser.

Anyone who is interested in how Wilton can enhance their community by conserving its special natural and recreational resources is encouraged to attend this meeting.
