Kenny Mains of Minot scored his biggest win ever Sunday night at Oxford Plains Speedway in the C. N. Brown 80-lap Charger Championship event.

Mains started 20th in the 35-car field and then set a pace that brought him to the front by the midway point. He then settled in behind leader Larry Emerson for the next 15 laps before Emerson pitted with tire problems. With Emerson and Alan Wilson suffering the same fate, Mains could pull in front by some 15 car lengths in winning the $500 race.
