FARMINGTON — Maffie Mae, the pet of the week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter, is a beautiful dilute calico kitty. She has been at the shelter longer than any other cat and she would just love a home to call her own.

Maffie Mae is under two years old and would tolerate other kitties and maybe a calm dog. She is a little spoiled and would purr-fer a home to herself where she can be catered to and loved. Maffie Mae has a nobl presence about her as she struts into the room with her head and tail held high. Although she does act prim and proper, Maffie Mae has her silly side too. Sometimes you can catch her chasing down dust bunnies and imaginary objects in the room. Once she knows you are watching her she will stop and just start grooming herself, as if to state “it wasn’t me.” Would you be willing to give this wonderful kitty a chance to fill your home full of love and fun?
