Texas hold’em
HARRISON — The Harrison Lions Club will hold a Texas hold’em tournament from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at the VFW Hall, 176 Waterford Road. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
The entry fee is $55. The tournament is limited to 100 players. Refreshments will be available. Proceeds will be used to provide services to the community.

Last supper of season
PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris will hold their last supper of the season from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, on Paris Hill.
The menu consists of baked beans, brown bread, casseroles, salads, hot dogs, biscuits, desserts and beverages. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under.
Labor Day sale
OXFORD — The Seventh Day Adventist Church will hold its annual Labor Day weekend sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, and Monday, Sept. 5, at the Community Center on Fore Street.
Food Pantry
OTISFIELD — The Food Pantry will be open from from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Spurrs Corner Church, Route 121. Knitting Guild
PARIS — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at the First Congregation Church, South Paris. Attendees are asked to bring something that was fun to knit or something made for Outreach. It will be exhibited at the Oxford County Fair.

Girl Scouts
HIRAM — Girl Scouts of Maine will host an All Out for Girl Scouts fall event from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at South Hiram Elementary School.
Girls and adults are invited to attend the event to find out about the many different and fun ways today’s girls are participating in Girl Scouting and how the programs and activities inspire them to reach their personal best. Girls will have an opportunity to sample some activities and adults will also learn about the flexible options and benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.

Grief support
NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital will offer a grief support group beginning Friday, Sept. 16, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Board Room.
The group will meet every Friday for six weeks and will offer support, information and activities to help group members with their grieving process.
